DIY Face Mask

We wanted to save those $$$ that we spent on our masks monthly so we tried out these homemade face masks! We were totally amazed by the instant results, best still, all the ingredients used can be found in the kitchen! Simply effortless!

Oat and Yogurt Mask 

Oats act as a natural exfoliant that are effective in fighting dull, flaky dryness. With yogurt giving the skin additional moisture and shrink pores. Including turmeric powder gives it an anti-inflammatory benefit.

Ingredients:

  1. ½ Table Spoon Oat
  2. 2 Table Spoon Plain Yogurt
  3. 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (optional)

Steps:

Prepare the ingredients and mix it together in a bowl. Apply mixture on face and leave it on for 15 mins. Remember to wait till the oat meal dries up to scrub off first before washing it off with water. You’ll feel like you are shedding off the old skin for a completely new one!

Honey Green Tea Mask

Green tea has anti-aging and antioxidant benefits that can help delay signs of skin aging, such as sagging skin, sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Honey being naturally anti-bacterial is the perfect remedy for acnes. The mask is extremely moisturising and soothing, creating a glow after application!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 Teaspoon Green tea powder
  2. 2 Table Spoons Honey

 

Steps:

Prepare the ingredients in a bowl. You may add a few droplets of water to mix the green tea powder if you find that it is too dry. Mix in the honey and you may start applying it on your face. You may find that it will be a little gooey and uncomfortable but resist the temptation to touch it! Leave it on for 15 mins before washing it off and race to the toilet to wash it off!

Banana Egg White Mask

Egg white aids in tightening and toning skin. This mask is suitable for women who has oily skin as it helps to shrink pores. At the same time, Vitamin A and B found in the banana will get rid of dark spots and blemishes and gives you smooth skin. Feel the instant tightening effect even while the mask is still on your face!

Ingredients:

  1. ¾ Banana
  2. 1 Egg White

Steps:

Mash the banana with a fork till it is in a puree form and mix in the egg white. Apply the mixture on your face and leave on the mask for at least 15mins till it is slightly dry. Once dry, you may wash off the face mask.

Try out one of these face mask and say goodbye to bad complexion!
